Carpets from Sassanid era of northern Afghanistan, Samangan province
Sometimes the date will be changed according to new findings. Archaeologists in northwestern Af-ghanistan, this time in the village of Doab Shah-pasand and from Ayr malik caves of Samangan province have found a number of part-woven carpets that are keeping in National Museum of Kuwait and belong to Al-Sabah family.
These parts are interesting due to the images of Iranian deer and winged lion that have deep conjunctions with Iranian art. There are estimated to Sassanid era by using the method of carbon 14.
